MRCP Part 2 Exam
The MRCP Part 2 Exam assesses a candidate’s clinical skills and their ability in applying medical knowledge in managing patients. This exam is built on foundational knowledge evaluated in Part 1, and it also focuses on advanced clinical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exam Requirements
To qualify for the MRCP Part 2 Exam, candidates need to first clear the MRCP Part 1. It is recommended that candidates should have a minimum of 12 months of postgraduate clinical experience after completing Part 1 ,as Part 2 focuses on applying medical knowledge in real clinical situations.
Exam Format
The exam assesses the candidate’s ability to apply clinical understanding, to make informed judgments, and take responsibility for key tasks, such as:
- Prioritizing diagnosis
- Planning investigations
- Developing immediate and long-term management plans
- Assessing prognosis
